I often find cleaning is a thing when I'm at a burning anger level of anxiety. When I used to live in sharehouses it was always obvious when I was angry because the kitchen or other areas would be spotless. I've found this happens less these days because I've been learning to give myself the space and permission to feel anger, which I never used to do. Of course cleaning often goes the other way with depression.

I find 'zoning out' type stuff less useful than I used to; it's like my crazy brain picks up on the 'zoning' frequency and sort of seizes on it; so I find I need a certain level of mental stimulation.
